Even though school is back in session we are still celebrating summer and enjoying the heat! It’s The perfect time for some outdoor water play. This week the kiddos had so much fun playing with water beads and ice.

They used medicine droppers to shoot water out, until the two year old discovered that the water beads actually fit in the droppers and she could explode them out the other end! Not exactly what I had intended, but that’s one of the great things about sensory tubs, they get to be creative and try new things. 😆
I almost picked up some already made water beads at Walmart because I was so last minute, but when I saw they were $5 for a small pre-made bottle I knew there had to be a better last minute option; Amazon Prime to the rescue!! We ordered these, and it was such a great deal and great quality product. Past water beads have stained my kids hands, but these were great.

I also froze some plastic sea creatures in ice and let the kids experiment with different ways of trying to get them out.

The impatient ones decided banging the ice on the sidewalk was the best way to free the sea animals.

This was one of the highlights from our first week of homeschool and kept them busy for a long time! Here’s to soaking up these last few weeks of summer. 🌻
